Next weekend, Saturday April 12th is the opening reception of an art exhibit featuring my mixed media artwork.

The “Recycled ART Show” is in honor of the upcoming Green Fest in Lambertville, Earth Day (on Tuesday April 22nd). The show includes six artists who use material that is essentially used, discarded, or disposable in their creations.

“The Recycled Art Show” reception is on Saturday April 12th from 5 to 9 pm at ARTis ZEN ARTS, 35 North Union Street, Lambertville, NJ 08532. (609) 773-0044.

I will be exhibiting 21 mixed media pictures in the gallery. All of the materials used are recycled from their prior uses. Most of the works include map fragments, envelopes and other postal items, scraps of handwritten letters, postcards, and lists; product labels, advertising, original and found photographs, official documents and forms, wrapping paper, bags, and other found objects or material. The works are then finished off with acrylic paint, aquarelle, or wax. In addition to the framed works, I have produced for this exhibit 35 unique original, signed mixed media compositions mounted on 5” x 7” cards (with envelopes), priced at $25.00.

The other artists participating in the show are AOY Members Colleen Attara and Fran Leyenberger, plus gallery regulars Wayne Cunningham, Susan Bromirski, and Kelly Finlaw.

Wine, cheese, and finger foods will be served. Please come to the reception and bring a friend or two.

See you Saturday!
